Our Puppies

Noble Night puppies receive the finest care – far beyond what most breeders provide. That care begins long before conception by researching their ancestors’ health and pedigrees, proving their parents quality in the show ring, and ensuring our mothers are in the best condition with optimal care & nutrition throughout their pregnancy and lactation. Our litters are born and raised inside our home, we personally assist in deliveries & continue monitoring the first minutes, hours & days of the newborns’ lives. These new lives are the future of the Greater Swiss breed, the evolution of the Noble Night bloodline, and they will bring great Joy to their future families. We take our job as their caregivers very seriously, and also enjoy it immensely! Our puppy-rearing process is labor-intensive but results in healthy, socialized puppies that are physically & mentally more advanced and ready for their new homes. Noble Night puppies are available at 8-9 weeks of age.

Our puppies are currently priced at $4500. They possess the finest breed type in Canada, as shown by our repeated success in American Kennel Club (AKC) Conformation shows against large, competitive entries. We are currently the only Canadian breeder showing in the USA, in order to make sure our dogs have the quality to stand out at the highest levels. Many families looking for a companion dog say they don’t care about buying a puppy from a breeder who shows, but it is only by doing so that we prove our dogs meet the expected standard for their breed, and have multiple outside sources (the Judges) deem them good quality to be part of a breeding program. Saying “I don’t need a dog from a breeder who shows” is like saying “I don’t need a house from a builder who builds to code.”

We offer the type of Swissy that will literally stop traffic in your neighborhood with their striking good looks (Yes, this actually happens!). Noble Night dogs have remarkable quality, breed type, and behaviour that is often commented on by respected Judges, the public, and puppy families alike.

Finding a Responsible Breeder

When searching for a puppy, the necessary first step for success is to stop “looking for a puppy,” and start “looking for a breeder.” Working with a responsible breeder will put you on the path to finding the perfect puppy. A responsible breeder is one that does not only breed with the purpose to ‘sell’ puppies, but to improve the breed with each carefully planned litter. They prove the quality of their dogs, and make intentional, thoughtful breeding pairs with the most complimentary parents they can find.

A responsible breeder will do all of the recommended health testing for their breed; for Swissies those are OFA Hip/ Shoulder/ Elbow x-rays and Eye Certification from an Ophthalmologist. They will not be offended when you ask them for proof of testing or about their puppy rearing process, in fact they will be happy to know you are well informed and care! A responsible breeder will have an in-depth application process and will help match the perfect puppy to your family, rather than having each family pick the puppy. The breeder has spent countless hours observing and getting to know the temperament, energy level, and traits of each puppy, and they have your application/ interview information to help find just what you are looking for!

A responsible breeder will make sure their breeding dogs have a happy, enriching life. They train them, spend time together, and do fun things! Each dog is a being of their own, who deserves our attention and time to not only meet their needs, but exceed them.

A responsible breeder wants to help set you and your puppy up for a happy, successful life together! A puppy from them will remain in their mind and heart for life, and they will support you and your puppy for the lifetime of the dog; offering guidance, sharing celebrations, helping to find resources if they don’t know the answer, and providing a safe home for the dog to come back to at any point in their life if necessary.

At Noble Night our adult dogs are health tested according to CHIC requirements for the breed (currently Hip/ elbow/ shoulder OFA evaluations and Eye Examination by a boarded certified Ophthalmologist), temperament tested, socialized in many situations, and trained in various disciplines. Our puppies start life with “Puppy Culture” protocols and Early Neurological Stimulation, and are raised inside our family home surrounded by children and the noises of a regular household. Puppies are placed according to the best matching home, not on a first come basis, and we are committed to supporting all Noble Night puppy owners in their journey for the lifetime of each dog. Purchasing a Noble Night puppy is NOT an adoption. You are purchasing a quality puppy resulting from a purposeful breeding and part of a program intended to preserve and advance the breed. These puppies are sold on non-breeding agreement. NOTE: We reserve the right to adjust our prices at any time due to demand and breeding plans.

Let’s not measure a breeder’s success by the amount of winning their dogs do in the ring, but by the number of dogs that stay with the family that purchased them as a puppy and that die in the arms of the same family years later. In that case, we have three winners: the breeder, the family, and most importantly, the dog.
